The most expensive acquisition of Steaua from the last few years and one of the few foreign players who managed to gain Gigi Becali’s confidence, Dayro Moreno, spoke yesterday in detail about Steaua and about his plans. After one year since he came in Ghencea, the Columbian forward speaks about how he can take his first title of champion in Romania and about how is Marius Lăcătuş as a coach.
- Dayro, how was the first day of training camp in Antalya?
- Excellent. We felt very well, he have very good conditions. The training level is exactly for the high claims of a team such as Steaua. We have everything we need in order to train the best we can for the beginning of the return.
- Is this kind of training camp important in the official matches from the return?
- It helps us a lot, it is vital to have a good training. Then, the victories in the friendly matches make you trustful, they heal you psychic and this is very important for us because we need an excellent moral for the beginning of the return. We only think about the champion title.
"A professional wins even in the friendly matches"
- There will be 5 friendly matches, are important the results or the training in these kind of matches?
- When he enters on the ground, any player in the world wants to win, no matter if he plays in an examination match or in an official match. Any professional wants to win, and when you play for Steaua, a famous name, your wish to impose yourself is even bigger.
- You said something about the return of the championship. What does Steaua propose for the 17 laps?
- Every day we spend here, training as well as possible, has a purpose one thing, to win the championship. I hope God will help us to take the title and be glad and celebrate the triumph after the last lap!
"We repeat a lot the offensive phase"
- How hard it is the new playing manner imposed by Lăcătuş, 4-1-4-1?
- No matter how the coach place us on the ground, we, the players, have the duty to play just the way he wants and to adapt to the changes which result from the new system. This is the duty of every player who dresses Steaua’s t-shirt.
- Did anything change in the team once with Lăcătuş’ return?
- Since he came back everything is the same, just like it was before he left. We try a lot of schemes and systems at trainings with respect to the final phase. We have to score many times, both I and the team.
- What do you want, to score now, in the friendly matches or you are waiting the official matches from the championship?
- It is important to play well and as much as possible. If i could manage to score more often, then it will be much better. But I am not very interested in me giving the goal, but I am interested in what the team makes.

- In a few days, here, in Antalya, will arrive all your rivals to the title of champion. Are you going to spy them?
- Every team trains as best as possible. I think we shouldn’t be interested in our adversaries, but in improving our game. Let’s not be careful to others and impose our game.

- I think that Lăcătuş will name the new captain. Anyway, there are a lot of players who could take the baderole, such as Ghionea, Goian, Petre Marin. Soon will be decided who will be the captain.
Dayro: "I would like Dică to come back "
Dică: "Dayro said to Gigi that I am not valuable"
The Columbian from Steaua spoke also about his former colleague, Nicolae Dică. "How do I comment a possible return? I would be glad to come back. I would like to play with him, he is a good player and a good colleague, too", said Dayro. Less than one month ago, Dică revealed in an interview for GSP TV: "Gigi Becali told me that Dayro Moreno said to him that he does not pass to me because he had seen that I have no value".
