Half of the teams from League 1 indicated the referee from Sibiu to be the most indicated to save the arbitration. Crăciunescu obtained two votes less and Argeşul withheld
Almost all the 162 clubs from the first three Leagues sent at FRF their options with respect to the future president of the Central Commission for Referees. The 18 from League 1 were the most hurried, and a part of them, revealed for GSP how hid they vote.
Even if on the form sent to all the teams there were 4 names, Huzu, Crăciunescu, Avram and Lăzărescu, the struggle was just between the first two, the only persons who were central referees from the list proposed by Mircea Sandu. Huzu managed to get the most votes, exactly a half of the clubs from League 1, he was preferred exclusively by the leaders outside Bucharest.
The most amazing vote pro-Huzu came from Universitatea Craiova, i.e. the couple Mititelu - Balaci. 11 years ago, in the end of the match U Craiova - Oţelul 0-1, refereed by Aron Huzu, the coach from that time of Ştiinţa, Ilie Balaci, had a terrible scandal with the "central" from Sibiu. He hit him with the boots on his face, being suspended for one year from the sports life.
