Dinamo has lost at Craiova, and all the other teams behind it, up to the 5th place inclusive, have won and recovered 3 points in one round. The struggle is even bigger as there are left 33 points to be disputed, and the distance between Dinamo and Steaua is of 9 points, i.e. 25 % of the entire points to be disputed at the end of the return.

Ocupanta locului 6 nu merge în Europa dacă în Cupa României va triumfa o formaţie care va termina în afara locurilor 1-5, de exemplu Pandurii sau Gloria Bistriţa. De asemenea, una dintre aceste două echipe va prinde un loc de Europa League dacă va pierde finala Cupei în faţa trupei care va termină campionatul pe locul 1 sau 2. În sferturile Cupei României se află în acest moment doar 3 echipe din afara primelor 5 din Liga I, care nu vor juca între ele în antepenultima fază a Cupei, deci sînt şanse mari ca locul 6 să fie la final "garant" pentru accesul în UEFA.
