The players brought from abroad feel marginalized by their Romanian colleagues, but also by the president Argăseală and the other subordinates of the sponsor Gigi Becali
Dorinel Munteanu managed to bring again the good atmosphere to the team and to have a good relationship with the players, but things are not so good at Steaua. He is between two separated teams now: the Romanian players and the foreign players. The foreign players are not tolerated anymore by Rădoi and co. Besides, the football players brought by abroad are not satisfied with the way they are treated by the team leadership.
WHY DO THE FOREIGNERS FEEL MARGINALISED IN THE LOCKER ROOM
1. Dayro is accused that he is not a man
Dayro Moreno is the foreign player which is the receiving end of all the Romanian ironies. He is always accused of having frills and that "he is not a man ". :) Why? "He is always making his manicure and pedicure, he goes often to the hairdresser, gives with hydrating creams" these are the most frequent comments of about him.
"I’ve heard that all make fun Dayro and I’ve seen that even on the ground they always reproach him something. I told them to stop and to leave him alone, because he is a good football player".
Gigi Becali
2. Only Bănel and Ovidiu Petre talk to them
Bănel Nicoliţă and Ovidiu Petre counts among the Romanian football players which are close to the foreigners. The first one is friendly, he calls them "my brother", and while Ovidiu Petre always helps when they need a piece of advice. ;) The third Romanian which is close to them is Bogdan Stancu, who is always seen with Golanski in the cafes from the centre of Bucharest.
3. Neaga is against Pepe
The distance between the Romanians and the foreigners hasn’t started lately, it lasts from the last season. Pepe Moreno, one of the Columbians who were titular in the last return match, unburdened after he left: "As long as I played to Steaua, Neaga didn’t salute me not even once". Besides, Pepe said that Rică would have said about him: "How long is he going to be here, when does his visa expire?".
4. Zapata, ignored by Romanians
The Columbian goalkeeper suffered very much when he was accused in the locker room after the match with Galaţi. "You destroyed our game!" said Ghionea. Theni, the second day, in the locker room, no Romanian talked to Zapata :S.
5. Zapata’s reply: he didn’t invite them to the party
Because of the distance whom they treated him, Zapata made the same with the Romanian. Last week, when he organized a party because he received an apartment from the club, he invited all the foreigners, including Semedo, Abel and Golanski, but not even one Romanian. :X
All got close to Zapata
Because they are not bore by the group of the most influenced players from Steaua, which includes Rădoi, Neaga, Petre Marin, Goian and Ghionea, the foreigners got close to Zapata, one of the first players brought from abroad. They always go together to the restaurant; they are inseparable when they are away, when they go for a walk in the day of match.
Why weren’t they at the negotiations?
The foreigners are also angry because they were not allowed to say anything when the chiefs negotiated, this summer the Rules of Internal Order. Only 4 players participated, all being Romanian: Goian, Ghionea, Petre Marin and Rădoi. Although there are 11 foreigners, which means almost 40 % of the lot, none of them had anything to say in establishin the gratifications for the League and the championship.
WHY THE FOREIGNERS DO NOT FEEL RESPECTED BY THE CLUB LEADERSHIP
1. Zapata has been waiting for 5 months an apartment
One of the reasons for which Zapata didn’t play so well as in the last season can be the fact that he didn’t have a moment of silence outside the field. This evening, after he turned back from the holyday, the club leadership didn’t give him the promised apartment. Rufay and his wife, Ceucy, had to stay in the hose in which dwelled Pepe. "We’ll solve the problem" was Argăseală’s message. It passed 5 months and nothing happened. :( Only last week did the Columbian receive an apartment with 3 rooms from the club.
"I have noticed that Zapata isn’t so relaxed anymore in the goalpost, I think that he is very secluded with respect to the last season"
Rică Răducanu
2. Paola Dayro was not helped at the Police
One month and a half ago, in the day of the match CFR - Steaua, someone stolen from Dayro’s wife, Paola, the documents and the presents at Carrefour Orhideea. The second day, he asked those from the club to help him, asking to come with her at the Police, but no one wanted!
An example about what happens in big clubs is narrated by Hagi after many years he left from Real. "The club gave me a house, and my neighbour always helped me at the beginning. I didn’t know why he was so friendly. Afterwards I found out that my neighbour was an employer of the club, he was put there just to help me". More than that, at teams such as Inter or Juventus, there are employers of the club who are in charge with paying the bills and the possible extra sportive fines of the players brought from other countries than Italy, so that they can concentrate only at football.
3. They had to pay the ticket of their wives or their fiancées
What shocked very much the foreigners from Steaua was the fact that they have to pay the match ticket which they ask for their wives or their fiancées. :O Tiago’s wife, Susana, revolted when she found out that she has to pay the amount of 500 RON for a ticket at the match with Lyon. "I will never come to the match", she said to Tiago, but the Portuguese midfield paid the money when Steaua’s chiefs gave him the ticket. He didn’t dare to say no.
"Does Argăseală’s wife pay the match ticket when Steaua plays on its own ground?!"

4. There were no more tickets for Dayro
Before the match with Galatasaray, Dayro asked 4 tickets to the club. The chiefs raised their shoulders: "You are coming to ask now? You had to say this long time ago, we don’t have anymore". When MM Stoica was manager something similar happened, but MM managed to find a ticket for that football player, taking from Gigi Becali’s nephew. ;)
"Does Gigi know?"
The foreign football players from Steaua asked themselves if Gigi Becali knows about this situation, especially the fact that Argăseală and the other chiefs from the club do not pay attention to them. "Does he really know what happens to the team?", said many times Zapata and company.
"Steaua doesn’t have a professional leadership. If the club had been run by the people who are, for example, at FC Utrecht, then Steaua would be very far away"

There were also other players who were trampled underfoot
Is not for the first time when the foreign football players from Steaua have big problems in Ghencea. In the last 3 years there were even other cases in which they were treated badly and they were even threaten:
Hamutovski was the first one. The first foreign football player who suffered when he had a conflict with a Romanian football player. Hamutovski had a conflict with Neaga and Becali found out everything and ordered: "Who argues with my Romanians will pay!". In a short time, the goalkeeper from Belarus left.
Carlos was banished by Becali. "If he doesn’t want to go, then we activate the clause of safeguarding and we will send him to the second team, to train at Forban", said Becali about Carlos in January 2007, after he banished the Portuguese from the lot.
Andrey was threatened with Ferentari. Even Andrey, the Brazilian met the “strategy" of the club from Ghencea. He was threatened that if he does not accept to cancel the contract he would receive an apartment in Ferentari, and as a car an old Dacia. Finally, he accepted to cancel the contract and go.
