The former general director from Juventus, Luciano Moggi, has declared that the team Fiorentina has its part of fault in the case Adrian Mutu, who has been found two times doped with sibutramine, because a club must know what kind of medicine are taking its own players, according to calcionews24.com.
"This was a naivety from Fiorentina as a group, too, because the club must know what the players are taking. I remember an episode in which Filippo Inzaghi made, on his own, some inhalations and we avoided to call him at the matches in order not to have troubles", said Moggi at the Italian TV channel Gold Sport, within the emission Studio Stadio.
The forward Adrian Mutu has been found doped with sibutramine two anti-doping checks ago, the first one made on January 10, 2010, after the match Fiorentina - Bari, score 2-1, from the Italian championship, and the second was made on January 20, after the match Fiorentina - Lazio, score 3-2, from the Italian Cup.
The sibutramine, the substance used in the cure of obesity, acting by reducing the hunger, is on the list of products banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
According to his friends, Mutu affirms that he had taken a natural medicine for slimming, which she brought to him from Romania, and on its prospectus it wasn’t mentioned that would contain sibutramine.
