Cunha a fost protagonist într-un meleu între jucătorii și oficialii celor două tabere și aproape a sărit la bătaie cu un membru al staff-ului „tractoriștilor”, pe care l-a apucat de guler, înainte de a-i smulge ochelarii de pe față.
În consecință, o comisie independentă l-a găsit vinovat de abatere disciplinară, concluzia fiind că „a acționat într-o manieră necorespunzătoare după fluierul final”.
Aceasta l-a sancționat pe Cunha cu două meciuri de suspendare și o amendă de 80.000 de lire sterline, echivalentul a 96.000 de euro la cursul curent. Fotbalistul „a recunoscut acuzația”, conform comunicatului ligii engleze.
Wolves traversează o perioadă bună. De la preluarea echipei de către Vitor Pereira, „lupii” au obținut două victorii (3-0 cu Leicester, 2-0 cu Manchester United) și un egal, 2-2 cu Tottenham, rezultate care i-au urcat deasupra locurilor retrogradabile.
