In the final test match before the meeting with Bosnia, Răzvan Lucescu lined up only half of the team he is thinking of using: Tamaş, Ropotan, Florescu, Torje, Stancu and Marica. The possesion was ours, and the attack managed to pull up some great shots. Stancu found Marica in a great position, but Stuttgart's striker shot wide.
Torje came close to a great assist, but Dragoş Grigore's header went wide. Stancu tried his luck from outside the area but didin't manage to put the goalkeaper at real work.
The home side had the biggest chances in the first half, almost scoring on two ocassions. Lucky for us, Tătărușanu was in a good day and pulled of two great saves.
Another last minute mistake
The second half followed the same scenario as the first. Torje prooved once again to Răzvan that he can be "Messi" from time to time, scoring a beautiful goal.
But, once again, we managed to lose the victory from our reach when Dragoș Grigore passed badly, giving the ball to the home side. Constantinou passed by Tătărușanu and scored the equalizer.
Romania managed to win after the penalties, 5-4, and seccured the 3rd spot in the Cyprus Cup.
