The Serbian press describes "the central" Mazici in dark colours. The assistants seem to be ok
The referees who will rule tomorrow the derby from Banat are known: they are Serbs, they are from the list of FIFA, and "the central" is situated in the category of those to be questioned, with a questionable CV! Gazeta found out yesterday, first, the origin of the referees of the match, and then the constituents of the team. "The central" is Milorad Mazici, 36 years old; the assistants are Igor Radojcici, 41 years old and Nikola Tomicici, 43 years old. Vasile Avram fenced with revealing the structure of the referees' team: "We will announce the names of the referees on Monday, when they will arrive on the airport!".
"He makes mistakes and gives a lot of yellow cards"
The journalist from Belgrad do not have laudation words for Mazici. "He is the man of the federation. Milo is called by some people «the referee of those from Partizan», that’s why he is «spotted». He had some problems in the latest matches he ruled in the internal championship. He is that kind of referee who gives a lot of yellow cards and he makes a lot of mistakes during a match".
The assistants are well rated. "Radojcici and Tomicici are considered to be the best linesmen from Serbia", said the Serb journalists. In this spring they were delegated at the match CFR - FC Braşov (2-0) and they ruled without mistake. Only "the central", Dragomir Stankovici, made a lot of mistakes: he was confused, he fragmented the game and he didn’t eliminate Mureşan, from the hosts.
Borcea: "Hmm, quite strange"
Cristi Borcea declared yesterday, when he heard the news: "The Serbs? Are they FIFA? OK, that’s it, could have been even better. They have to do their job now, they should be correct! Anyway, we prefer Serbs than Romanians; I am so sorry that I have reached this conclusion. You said Serbs? Hmm, I am close to Timişoara, strange option! I don’t know what to believe anymore, after so many contestant arbitrations we had".
Iancu: "Avram, good for you!"
Marian Iancu was happy: "It was important the match to be ruled by a team of referees from FIFA, as we and Dinamo asked. They had to be foreigners because both clubs wanted so. I congratulate Mr. Avram because he managed to gratify us. If it didn’t happen this way, an incredible anarchy would have been in the Romanian football. We, for example, wouldn’t have entered on the field, because, we have said it before, the statute is being broken".
10.000 euro costs the Serbian team of referees, including transportation, lodging and the reckoner.
