The sponsor of FC Argeş, Cornel Penescu, was sent up for trial by the National Anticorruption Directorate, in a new file, in which he is accused of bribe giving, with a former labor inspector from ITM Argeş, charged of bribe taking.
According to the press release, in the prosecutors’ indictment was mentioned that on November 14, 2006, Cornel Penescu, as shareholder at SC PIC S.A., promised to the labor inspector at I.T.M. Argeş, Anghelina Florian, the amount of 10.000.000 lei, in order to make a superficial control at the head office of S.C. PIC S.A., not to determine real breaches of labor Code, and implicitly, not to apply contraventional sanctions. The amount of money promised was restored effectively on November 15, 2006, show the anticorruption prosecutors.
The file was remitted at the Court Argeş.
