The Police Chief has announced to day that Steaua's owner, Gigi Becali, will be held in arrest for 29 days.

He is charged with privation of freedom, in a case where he has presumably held against their will 3 persons he suspected of stealing his car. They made a complaint to the Police that lead to Becali's arrest. Becali was taken into custody this morning at his home in Pipera.

Seven other persons were taken into custody, among them Becali's bodyguards.

The Police claim that in the night between 25 and 26th of January, around 00:35, 3 passengers of a Mercedes were held to gunpoint and forced to enter the trunk of an SUV, and then taken to a building in Tunari. Gigi Becali and his bodyguards are the suspects in this case.
