The former great international referee Ion Crăciunescu blames the administration of FRF for having missed the qualification at the World championship from South Africa:
"I think we keep a firm hold on unimportant things. We are living in an illusion, in a lie and we are deluding ourselves uselessly. We have to make an analysis and see what the distance between us and the others is.
One thing amazed me: Romania plays at home 5 times in one year, that is why it is inadmissible to hear Chivu that he cannot train in a training camp as it is that from Mogoşoaia. Those from FRF are talking about the poor infrastructure instead of making something concrete. We are still wondering that we are in this situation, that the juniors do not qualify in the final tournament, that we don’t have players and that we have poor results. We are a people who likes sport and we are passionate of this, but we are going down.
I believe in Răzvan Lucescu as human, but if the doesn’t have “raw material”, he cannot make performance. We have medium players. We are struggling for such a long time with these preliminaries and we should make a much more elaborated program. We are living in lie so that the leaders may live in peace. It is useless to have a great coach if we don’t have good players", declared Ion Crăciunescu at Sport Total FM.
