Gigi Becali, Steaua's owner, has decided to part ways with his coach, Cristiano Bergodi, after the Italian manager didn't allow him to enter the team lockers at half-time. He considered this to be extremely offensive, thus he announced the assistant manager, Renzo Rossi, that the relationship between them and the club is over.
"I've told Renzo Rossi, just as you came to Steaua with love, likewise we must break up on friendly terms. Tell Bergodi that our collaboration is over!
He made an offensive gesture towards me, and that bothered me. It was lack of respect coming from him. I cannot work anymore with someone who has offended me", said Gigi Becali at sportro.
